Well, the blog has survived its cosmetic surgery and is looking all youthful and refreshed. I was craving simplicity so I’ve pared everything back to the bare minimum. Let me know if you miss things like the posts being categorised or tagged; I’m never sure if people care about such things.
I love the new look. It is very simple and fresh. I don’t typically don’t fuss over categories and tags. I try to use them on mine, but I don’t really know how beneficial they are to others.
Thank you Mary. I do find tags useful on occasions and I imagine people who are interested in, say, the knitting content and not so much in stationery would like to just be able to view the knitting posts, but I’m not sure that happens in real life. And I rather like posts that cover more than one topic anyway.
Personally I ignore categories and tags, if I find I’m not interested in something I move on, but I like to choose, and I always have a quick glance right through, just in case I might miss something!
There’s a lot to be said for a good old-fashioned browse. It’s why I can’t quite get my head around all these streaming services – they seem to be set up in a way that makes browsing for content really difficult.
