I’m Pam and I’d like to welcome you to my blog. I’ve been blogging here on PamAlisonKnits for a few years and decided mid-2021 was a good time for a bit of a refresh.
I often find it hard to stick to the point of a post (or anything else, come to think of it) and this fresh start may well see me easing off the effort and just going with the flow. There are lots of social media platforms for short-form communication, so you can expect my blog posts to be more on the long and rambling side. Think of them as a letter from a friend, something to be savoured over a cup of tea and a biscuit. You can expect my main content to cover my favourite themes of knitting, stationery, creative writing, and a bit of vintage wonder, but pretty much anything might pop up.
In the past I have tried to split topics down into separate posts, but as I gradually move to one blog post a week over the coming months they will become much more of a Jamboree Bag. These were treats we used to buy at the local shop with our pocket money when I was a youngster. They consisted of a sealed paper bag filled with a selection of sweets and a little toy such as some temporary tattoos. That’s exactly what my blog posts will be like – you won’t know what you’re going to get until you open it up.
In order to keep the blog nice and lithe I will only keep the most recent year of posts live here on the blog. However, these are all archived off-site and if you should have the itch to delve into the past, drop me a comment and I can arrange for the pdf documents to be made available to you.
I hope my long-standing readers will enjoy this new format and if this is the first time you’ve happened upon me I hope you’ll like what you see and stick around.
