This is a simple garter stitch scarf in a laceweight yarn that sat in my stash for a while. It’s really soft and warm and I’m looking forward to finishing it ready for the autumn.

Working on this as and when I feel like it – a few rows here, a few rows there. It is growing, but as it grows so do my ideas on how long I want it. I’m now thinking I might as well keep knitting until I finish the yarn. Given the fine wool and needles, it isn’t exactly mindless knitting, but it is relaxing knitting.

Finished. Very happy with the length. Tomorrow I will give it a wash then some photos on Monday.

Just wanted to add that this scarf was a brilliant addition to my winter wardrobe and I love it to bits. It has the perfect combination of warmth with lightness. The length makes it ideal to wrap several times around the neck and kept me snuggly-warm through many a long wait at the bus stop in the snow. Perfect.
